Genelia and Riteish made an appearance on Super Dancer Chapter 4 during a Shaadi Special episode. The actress was moved to tears by a contestant’s performance of Maahi Ve. Reflecting on the performance, she said, “Oh my God! Your performance reminded me of my wedding.” She shared insights into Maharashtrian wedding customs, particularly the tradition requiring Riteish to touch her feet eight times—a practice she found noteworthy for its challenge to traditional patriarchal norms.

Genelia expressed her love for traditional weddings. She said, “We may have modernized weddings and turned them into a party, but I adore traditional weddings and feel lucky to have experienced one. Every ceremony was a blast for me. I was very emotional during my Bidaai, but we all had a great time.”

This film marked Riteish’s directorial debut and featured both him and Genelia alongside Jiya Shankar.
